Eligibility Criteria & Vacancies

Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The selection process for the CSIR ASO position does not involve a fresh written examination. Instead, it relies on previous UPSC performance and a skill-based test.
Selection Sequence
- Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio (5 times the number of vacancies per category) based on the total marks obtained in the UPSC CSE-2024 (Mains + Personality Test).
- Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): Shortlisted candidates must undergo a qualifying CPT.
- Final Merit: The final selection is based on the total CSE-2024 marks, provided the candidate qualifies in the CPT.
