Eligibility Criteria & Vacancies

Selection Process & Exam Pattern
There is no written examination for the IOCL Digboi Apprentice recruitment. The selection is based entirely on a merit-based system.
Selection Criteria:
- Merit List: A merit list is prepared in descending order based on the aggregate percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualifying examination (all subjects across all years/semesters).
- Preference: Priority is given to candidates applying for apprenticeship training for the first time.
- Tie-Breaking Rule: In the event of a tie in marks, the older candidate (based on date of birth) is ranked higher. If the date of birth is also identical, the candidate with a higher percentage in Matriculation is preferred.
- Final Stages: Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification (DV), followed by a pre-engagement medical fitness examination.
How to Apply Online
The application process is mandatory in two separate steps. Failure to complete both steps will result in the rejection of the application.
Step I: Portal Registration
- For Codes 101, 102, 103, 108, 109, 110, 111: Register and apply on the NAPS portal. Search for the opportunity using the IOCL Refinery Unit location and select the appropriate trade.
- For Codes 104, 105, 106, 107: Register on the NATS/Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) portal and apply via the dashboard.
Step II: Additional Details Submission
- After completing the portal registration, candidates must fill out the additional details via the official Microsoft Forms.
- Ensure that the Enrollment/Student ID and contact details (Email and Mobile) match exactly with the NAPS/NATS portal registration.
