Selection Process & Exam Pattern
There is no written examination for the IOCL Apprentice 2026 recruitment. Selection is based entirely on a merit-based system.
Selection Sequence:
- Merit List Preparation: Candidates are ranked in descending order based on the aggregate percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualifying examination.
- Tie-Breaking Rules:
- If percentages are equal, the older candidate (earlier date of birth) is ranked higher.
- If dates of birth are also identical, the candidate with a higher percentage in Matriculation (Class X) is ranked higher.
- Shortlisting: A shortlist for Document Verification will be published (tentatively on August 05, 2026).
- Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates must appear in person with original documents (Tentatively August 11 to August 18, 2026).
- Medical Examination: Candidates must pass a pre-engagement medical fitness test.
- Offer of Engagement: Final offers are issued to those who clear both DV and medical tests.

- For Technician Codes 104, 105, 106, and 107: Register and apply via the NATS portal.
Step 2: Microsoft Forms Submission
