Selection / Admission / Evaluation Process
The selection is conducted in two stages:
- Preliminary Examination (Objective Type):
- Paper 1: General Studies (150 Marks)
- Paper 2: Commerce & Management (300 Marks)
- Total Marks: 450. Used for shortlisting only.
- Main Examination (Written/Descriptive):
- Consists of 8 papers including Kannada, English, General Studies, and specialized Commerce/Audit subjects.
- Total Marks: 2100. Marks obtained here determine the final merit.

- One-Time Registration (OTR): Visit the official KPSC website and click "New Registration" to create a profile.
- Apply for Post: Log in with credentials, navigate to the "Apply to Post" tab, and select the Audit Officer notification.
- Fill Details: Complete the application form step-by-step. Ensure all details are accurate as they cannot be changed after submission.
- Upload Documents: Upload a recent passport-size photograph (under 200 KB) and signature (under 70 KB) in JPEG/JPG format.
