Steps to Download UPSC IAS Mains e-Admit Card 2026
- Visit the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in.
- On the homepage, navigate to the e-Admit Cards section.
- Click on the link titled e-Admit Card: Civil Services (Main) Examination 2026.
- Read all the instructions carefully and click on the 'Yes' button to proceed.
- Choose your login method: via Registration ID or Roll Number.
- Enter your Registration ID / Roll Number, Date of Birth, and the security Captcha code.
- Click on Submit to generate your hall ticket.
- Download the e-Admit Card and print multiple clear copies for the examination days.
Documents Required at the Exam Centre
Candidates must bring the following items to the examination venue for each session:
- Printout of the e-Admit Card.
- Original Photo Identity Card (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, Driving Licence, or any government photo ID) as entered in the application form.
- Two recent passport-size photographs (in case the photo on the e-Admit Card is unclear or missing).
Important Exam Day Guidelines
- Entry Timings: The examination hall entry closes 10 minutes prior to the scheduled commencement of each session (08:50 AM for the Forenoon Session and 01:50 PM for the Afternoon Session).
- Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, electronic gadgets, books, and bags are strictly banned inside the premises.
- Stationery: Candidates should carry a black ballpoint pen to write answers and fill in required details on the attendance sheet.
