Selection / Admission / Evaluation Process

The selection process has four phases:

Phase I – Written Test Pattern:

Phase II – Physical Fitness Test (PFT):

Phase III – Stream Suitability Test (SST):

• Hospitality Stream: Cooking skills, kitchen sanitation and hygiene, serving food/water/beverages, personal hygiene, kitchen fire/safety precautions
• Housekeeping Stream: Sweeping floors, cleaning bathrooms, cutting grass, watering gardens, digging trenches, washing utensils, and demonstrated ability in at least one of: washing/ironing clothes, hair cutting/dressing/shampooing, stitching leather items, or tailoring/pattern-cutting

Phase IV – Medical Examination:

• Baseline investigations: Blood Haemogram (Hb, TLC, DLC, Platelets), Urine RE/ME, Biochemistry (fasting & post-prandial blood sugar, serum cholesterol, RFT, LFT), chest radiograph (PA view), ECG, and any other investigation the Recruiting Medical Officer considers necessary
• The Recruiting Medical Officer and Armed Forces specialist doctors are the final authority on fitness; no provision for representation or review after being declared unfit

Key Instructions for Candidates:

• Selection is fair, transparent, and merit-based only; no bribe is required at any stage
• Candidates not reporting at or before the cut-off time will not be permitted to appear
• No TA/DA is admissible; candidates must stay for the entire duration at their own expense

Service Bond: 4-year engagement period under the Air Force Act 1950; undertaking not to marry during the 4-year period. Personnel are not eligible for Ex-Servicemen status after discharge. Release at own request before completing the engagement period is not permissible except in exceptional cases with approval of the Competent Authority.

Stipend & Benefits:

• Seva Nidhi Package (Terminal Benefit): Approx ₹10.04 lakh upon completion of 4 years (₹5.02 lakh individual contribution + ₹5.02 lakh GoI matching contribution to Agniveer Corpus Fund, excluding interest)
• Other Benefits: 30 days annual leave per year; sick leave as per medical advice; medical facility at service hospitals; CSD provisions; non-contributory life insurance cover of ₹48 lakh; Agniveer Skill Certificate at end of engagement
• Post-Engagement: Up to 25% of each batch may be enrolled in the regular cadre as NC(E) based on objective criteria including performance; no right to further enrolment; no Provident Fund, gratuity, or pensionary benefit
