Shortlisting Ratio: 6 times the total vacancies to be filled in each category.

Selection / Admission / Evaluation Process

• Stage 1 — Written Examination: OMR-based written examination conducted for the posts of Inspector (FPF), Wildlife Guard, FPF Guard, Field Assistant, and Social Forestry Worker under the Forest, Ecology & Environment Department, J&K.
• Stage 2 — PST/PET (Walk Test): Candidates shortlisted based on the written exam scoresheet are called for the Physical Standard Test / Physical Endurance Test (Walk Test), which is of a qualifying nature only.
• The PST/PET is conducted category-wise at Jammu and Srinagar.
• The Board's decision at every stage is final.

Key Instructions for Candidates:

• Being shortlisted for PST/PET does not confer any right to final selection.
• The PST/PET is of a qualifying nature only.
• Candidates who fail to appear on the notified date and time forfeit their right to be considered at further stages.
• Candidates found indulging in impersonation, false statements, or unfair means are liable for criminal prosecution, debarment from recruitment, and cancellation of candidature.

1. Visit the official JKSSB website and navigate to the relevant notice section.
2. Open the notice titled "Shortlisting of Candidates for PST/PET for Inspector (FPF), Wildlife Guard, FPF Guard, Field Assistant and Social Forestry Worker."
3. Identify the annexure corresponding to the post you applied for:
   • Annexure "A" — Inspector (FPF)
   • Annexure "B" — Wildlife Guard
   • Annexure "C" — FPF Guard
   • Annexure "D" — Field Assistant
   • Annexure "E" — Social Forestry Worker
   • Annexure "F" — Clubbed candidates (applied for more than one post)

Discrepancy Reporting: Candidates must report any eligibility deficiency or clubbing discrepancy to the JKSSB office (Muthi, Akhnoor Road, Jammu, or Zam Zam Complex, Rambagh, Srinagar) between 10 August 2026 and 14 August 2026, during office hours. Requests made after this period will not be entertained.
