Selection / Admission / Evaluation Process
The selection process is merit-based on qualifying examination marks. The method differs slightly according to the apprentice category:
- Trade Apprentice Selection: Selection will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying ITI examination.
- Graduate and Technician Apprentice Selection: Selection will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the relevant Bachelor's Degree or Diploma, calculated according to the procedure followed by the concerned university or institution. If grades or CGPA are awarded instead of percentage marks, conversion will be carried out according to the procedure prescribed by the university or institution. If two or more candidates obtain the same percentage of marks at the cut-off level, preference will be given to the older candidate based on date of birth.
