Important Note: For Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Pharmacology faculties, non-medical (non-doctor) candidates will be selected only if medical teacher candidates (MD/MS/DNB) as per latest MCI/NMC norms are not available, to maintain parity for non-medico posts.
Detailed Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: As per the latest NMC-TEQ Regulations – Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, dated 30 June 2025.
Medical Council Registration: Candidates must hold a valid/renewed registration certificate with the medical council of any state in the country up to the last date of online application. For non-clinical subjects, candidates holding M.Sc (Medical)/Ph.D medical degree are not required to have Medical Council registration.
Nationality: Must be a citizen of India; or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with intention of permanently settling; or a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania) with intention of permanently settling in India.
Preferential Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who have served minimum 2 years in Territorial Army OR obtained NCC 'B' Certificate.
Age Relaxation (Uttarakhand domicile):
- SC/ST/OBC: 5 years
- Dependents of Freedom Fighters: 5 years
- Divyangjan (PWD): 5 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Actual age reduced by period of armed forces service (resultant age not exceeding max limit by more than 3 years)
- Orphan Children: As per applicable rules
Reservation Policy: Reservation benefits available only to holders of Uttarakhand permanent resident certificate. PWD reservation requires minimum 40% disability; only "One Leg Affected (O.L.)" category eligible for these posts. OBC certificate must be issued on or after 30 July 2023 and before 29 July 2026. EWS certificate must be for FY 2026-27 based on FY 2025-26 income.
No Objection Certificate (NOC): Candidates regularly working in Central/State Government service must submit departmental NOC.
