Selection / Admission / Evaluation Process

  1. Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) – Written Exam: 100 objective-type MCQs, 100 marks, 2 hours duration, with ΒΌ mark negative marking per wrong answer.
  2. Main Examination: Only candidates who qualify PET and hold a valid, normalized PET score card can apply for individual Main Examinations advertised separately by UPSSSC for various Group 'C' posts.
  3. Score Normalization: If PET is conducted across multiple shifts/days due to large applicant volume, a normalization process will be applied.
  4. Score Validity: PET-2026 score remains valid for 3 years from the date the result is declared/uploaded on the official website (per G.O. No. 316/47-Ka-3-2025 dated 28.04.2025).
  5. Highest Valid Score: Candidates holding more than one valid PET score may apply for Main Examinations using the highest valid normalized score.

How to Apply / Register / Check Status

  1. Complete One Time Registration (OTR): OTR has been effective on the UPSSSC website since 14.07.2026. Register on the Official Website before applying for PET-2026.
  2. Authenticate: Log in using your OTR number or registered mobile number β€” enter OTP and Verification Code. OTR details will auto-populate in the application form.
  3. Fill Application Details: Enter Intermediate qualification (if any), marital status, EWS status, UP state employee status, freedom fighter dependent status, ex-serviceman status, outstanding sportsperson status, disability category, and applicable age relaxation.
  4. Submit & Generate Registration Slip: Read the declaration, select "Yes," enter the Verification Code, and click "Submit." Save your 11-digit Registration Slip.
  5. Pay the Fee: Click "Proceed for Payment" and pay via Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan.
  6. Download & Print: Once payment is confirmed, download and print the application form. The process is complete only after printing.
